Naked gunman kill four people and injured three after opening fire with an AR-15 in Tennesse

Four people have been killed and three others injured after a naked man opened fire at a Tennessee Waffle House.

Authorities have since identified 29-year old Travis Reinking as a person of interest in the shooting. According to reports, shots rang out at the restaurant in Antioch, near Nashville, around 3.25am on Sunday morning.

A man who was only clothed in a green jacket and armed with an AR-15 shot six people before a customer was able to wrestle the rifle away from him. The shooter managed to flee on foot and is still at large.

Two of the people who died were killed outside of Waffle House and one person was fatally shot inside the restaurant, according to ABC. A fourth person died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where one victim remains in critical condition and another is in critical but stable condition, according to The Tennessean.

The vehicle the gunman arrived in is registered to Reinking, who is from Morton, Illinois.

Authorities said a man believed to be Reinking was last seen walking at a nearby apartment complex. He was seen wearing black pants and no shirt. Waffle House is ‘very concerned’ and ‘gathering all the details’ surrounding the shooting, spokesman Pat Warner told ABC.

Warner said that senior leadership is on site and that the restaurant’s ‘thoughts are with those affected’. In a separate statement Waffle House said it was ‘deeply saddened by this tragic incident’.
