Khloe Kardashian’s ex-husband Lamar Odom reveals he used a ‘fake penis’ to pass a 2004 Olympics drug test
Former NBA star, Lamar Odom has revealed he used a prosthetic penis filled with his trainer’s urine to pass a drugs test for the Olympics in 2004.
The 39-year-old who was married to Khloe Kardashian was offered a spot in the U.S. Men’s Olympic basketball team but had been “smoking weed every day that summer.”
Lamar, who knew he wouldn’t pass to compete at the Olympics in Athens, Greece had to come up with a way of passing a drug test by using a fake penis.
He revealed this in his new memoir, Darkness to Light, which was obtained exclusively by PEOPLE.
Lamar wrote that ‘the joy of being named to the twelve-man roster quickly turned to anxiety when Olympic officials informed me that I would have to pass a drug test before officially joining the team.’
‘There was absolutely no way I was going to pass. I’d been smoking weed every day that summer. Panic set in. We started googling ‘fake penises’ and studied different ways to beat a drug test,’ he writes.
‘After an exhaustive search we ordered a giant, rubber, black c*** to arrive the next day.’
The former Dallas Mavericks player then got his drug-free trainer ‘to urinate into the reservoir of the phallus, which was hidden in the balls,’ as the tester arrived at his home.
‘He handed me the rubber penis and left the bathroom as I strapped it on,’ Odom writes about his trainer.
A security official later entered the bathroom and looked on as Odom squeezed out his trainer’s urine from the prosthetic.
‘I unzipped my pants and carefully slid the fake penis through the zipper hole. To get the pee to come out of the tip, I had to squeeze the shaft repeatedly,’ Odom writes.
He later passed the test and went on to play on the U.S. National Team and won a bronze medal in the Olympics in 2004. He received a gold medal in the FIBA World Championship in 2010.
