Four teens knifed and seven arrested after violence breaks out in north-east London

Four teenagers have been rushed to the hospital after a multiple stabbing in east London.

Seven people have been now been arrested following the stabbings that occurred after reports of youths fighting with weapons.

Police were called to the scene in Manston Court, Walthamstow, at 9.03pm on Wednesday, March 11, following reports of a group of youths fighting with weapons, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said.

Officers attended with London Ambulance Service and the teenagers, aged around 15 and 16, were taken to hospital with stab and slash injuries.

None are believed to be life-threatening, the spokesperson said.

Seven arrests have been made in total for offences including violent disorder, affray, and possession of an offensive weapon.

Following the incident, Waltham Forest MPS tweeted: “Due to the recent stabbing in Walthamstow officers have been given additional search powers under Section 60 of CJPOA for Walthamstow, Leyton and Leytonstone area.”

It had previously said: “This is an isolated incident and we don’t believe there is a risk to members of the public. Road closures are currently in place in and around Thornburu Way, E17.”
