“Hate is too much a burden to bear” Bisi Alimi says after man wondered why he and his husband were not victims of the Ethiopia Airlines crash

Families lost loved ones and friends lost people who have added meaning to their lives in the Ethiopia Airlines crash. But a young man thought it was funny to poke fun at the situation by asking why Bisi Alimi and his husband Anthony Davis were not victims of the crash.

It was revealed that Bisi Alimi and Anthony Davis are currently on their honeymoon. They travelled during the same weekend that the tragic plane crash occurred.

Reacting to the news of Bisi and Anthony travelling for their honeymoon, a Facebook user wrote: “There was a plane crash yesterday. Where were they?”

Reacting to the Facebook post wishing for his death, Bisi wrote: 

“Hate is too much a burden to bear”- MLK. It is not so much that someone wishes another death because they love differently from them, but it is about using their hate to mock the dead. Just while the families of the dead are mourning, this man uses the situation to wish us dead. I repeat; hate is too much a burden to bear.
