In the midfield, Ghana’s Thomas Parteyand Guinea’s Naby Keita alongside Riyad Mahrez of Algeria were named.
For the best defenders in Africa, Ivory Coast’s Eric Bailly and Serge Aurier alongside Medhi Benatia of Morocco and Senegal’s Kalidou Koulibaly were named in the Africa Best XI for 2018
Ugandan goalkeeper Denis Onyango was named as the best goal stopper in Africa.
