Nigerian doctor in the US goes viral for calming down his patients by dancing (video)
A Jacksonville doctor of Nigerian origin went viral for dancing in the hospital to help calm sick patients.
Pediatrician Dr. Chima Matthew was the doctor on duty when a mother took her kids to Wolfson Children’s hospital in Jacksonville, Florida last August.
Wendy Moses brought 7-year-old Autumn Moses to be treated for strep. They were accompanied by her other kids, 4-year-old Krystlynn Moses and 8-year-old Winter Moses. The kids were worried about getting injections and medicines, but they met Dr. Chima and he made them forget their worries.
As soon as the doctor came into the room and got introduced to the children, he made friends with them and began to teach them dance steps. Wendy Moses was really pleased and filmed the doctor dancing with her kids. The video quickly went viral and got millions of views as soon as it was shared online.
Dr Chima has become a
sensation and now has a new fan page where he posts many of his interactions with his patients. Patients who encounter him also take to the page to share the experience with him.
