Photos-Farmer ties squirrel to beer bottle and flogs it for stealing his crops

A frustrated farmer tied a squirrel to a beer bottle and flogged the animal for stealing his crops.

The squirrel had been caught eating corn on the man’s farm and the man managed to catch it, then decided to punish it.

In a video shared on Chinese social media Weibo, the squirrel can be seen writhing in pain and struggling to break free as the man flogged it.

“Why are you stealing from me? Go steal my cousin’s. We don’t have enough corn for ourselves. Now you want some too?” the man said in his local dialect as he flogged the animal.

The animal cruelty incident reportedly happened in Guizhou Province in China.

The footage has angered animal rights groups and they have slammed the man for abusing a defenseless, harmless animal.
