PHOTOS+VIDEO-R. KELLY’S CULT VICTIM JERHONDA JOHNSON COMES WITH EVIDENCE
R. KELLY’S CULT VICTIM:
Jerhonda Johnson was the biggest R. Kelly fan ever. When she was just 15, she skipped school to stand outside the courthouse in 2008 when the R&B singer was being tried for child pornography. What Jerhonda perhaps didn’t realize at the time was that R. Kelly had been in trouble many times before this case for being with woman who were far too young for him. He was even briefly married to Aaliyah when she was just 15 years old. He was also accused of being abusive to women around him.
Jerhonda didn’t care about the details though; she loved R. Kelly passionately. When she finally got the chance to meet him, she was invited to his tour bus where her ordeal started. Jerhonda got on the tour bus along with a man that she was already in an illicit relationship with. She explained that the singer and a grown woman were naked, and Jerhonda’s boyfriend told her that the woman would teach her everything.
Over the next few months, Jerhonda moved in with R. Kelly and other women that he had strange relationships with. She said while being interviewed on The Real, “The trainer, it’s a woman, she trains you to please him s*xually. She taught me how to please him, she also taught me what I liked.” Jerhonda said that in addition to having intercourse with the singer while underaged, his girls were often physically abused. She details being locked in small spaces for days if he felt like torturing her.
Jerhonda said that she was finally able to get away from R. Kelly when his household was preparing for a party. The young woman asked her captor if she could go to her uncle’s house nearby to get some shoes. He let her go on the condition that she would come right back, but she never did.
The 24-year-old married mom of three isn’t just spreading rumors; she’s got legal documents to back up her story. She received money from him for signing a non-disclosure agreement. Just to solidify her allegations, other women have come forward saying the exact same thing happened to them.
R. Kelly’s team of lawyers said about Jerhonda’s statements, “The allegations against Mr. Kelly are false, and are being made by individuals known to be dishonest. It is clear these continuing stories are the result of the effort of those with personal agendas who are working in concert to interfere with and damage his career. Mr. Kelly again denies any and all wrong doing and is taking appropriate legal action to protect himself from ongoing defamation.”
Hope for the Victims
Jerhonda may be violating her settlements with R. Kelly by detailing what happened to her, but she just wants those under the singer’s control to know that they can escape. She pleaded, “If I can speak out and I can help them get out of that situation, that’s what I will do. I didn’t have anybody to speak up on my behalf when I was going through what I was going through with him. He’s brainwashed them really bad, and it kind of reminds me of Charles Manson.”
Jerhonda concluded her warning about R. Kelly, “I just really hope I can help these women out. Kelly needs to be stopped.”
