“We took turns to rape her and after we killed her we also took turns to sleep with the dead body” Pastor who killed woman for ritual confesses

Olusegun Otaru, a pastor at the Voice of Cannan Temple (C&S) Aladura Church Ozuru in Adavi, Kogi State, who was arrested for killing a sex worker and using her body parts for rituals which was buried in his altar, has confessed to journalists and explained how the sex worker was made to suffer before she was brutally killed.

Pastor Otaru, a father of eight children, while being paraded along with his accomplices on Monday at the force headquarters in Lokoja, told journalists that he has participated in the exhuming of three bodies from the burial grounds which he used to prepare concoction for wealth but none worked. So he decided to look for a living human being, believing this would be efficacious.

Otaru who was arrested by the police last week for his involvement in the killing of Miss Mercy Moses 19, for money ritual, blamed his actions on the devil and his quest to solve poverty that has bedeviled his family.

He confessed to raping Mercy before and after killing her.

He said: “We, first of all, took turns to rape her and after we killed her. We also took turns to sleep with the dead body. We cut the head, the fingers, and toes. We ground the fingers and the toes which we mix with other concoctions which we lick every morning expecting an inflow of money.”

He disclosed that he learnt the trade from one Alfa at Abeokuta before he relocated home. He added that his expectation was to make over N2.5 million from Mercy Moses.
