Zahra Buhari-Indimi and her sisters-in-law wear Abaya in solidarity with Kano varsity student harassed by male colleagues

The management of the Kano State University of Science and Technology has set aside May 27 to celebrate the Arabian outfit popularly known as ‘Abaya’ annually after a female student was harassed and mocked by her male colleagues.

In a show of solidarity, many northern women including Zahra Buhari and her sisters-in-law on Thursday, posted photos of themselves wearing the free flowing outfit.

“Say no to harassment. #kustwudiabayaday #kustwudistopbullyinginyouruniversity” Zahra, Adama, Hauwa, Meram Indimi captioned the photos.
