Meghan Markle’s dad says he’s been “frozen out” by the Royal family and he didn’t get a Father’s Day card from his daughter

Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle Sr., is afraid he has been “frozen out” by the Royal family after his interview with Good Morning Britain.
During the interview last week with Piers Morgan, Thomas discussed his daughter and her husband’s plans to have children. He also discussed Prince Harry’s views on Brexit. The 73-year-old was reportedly paid £7,500 for the tell-all TV interview, which he did to “clear up” negative press following staged paparazzi photos and missing the royal wedding.
Following the interview, Thomas is worried that the Royal family may be unhappy with him. His worry was worsened by the fact that he didn’t get a Fathers’ Day card from his daughter, The Duchess of Sussex.

Meghan MarkleA source told the Sun on Sunday: “There has been nothing from the palaces, which he is surprised about. He just hopes the interview hasn’t affected things.

“He wanted to discuss travelling to the UK, or the couple visiting him. He still hasn’t met Harry and is desperate for it to happen.”

In the interview, Mr Markle revealed that Meghan cried when he told her he couldn’t make it to the royal wedding in Windsor on 19 May, due to illness.

However, in a more controversial comment he revealed that Prince Harry is “open to Brexit” and that Harry believed President Donald Trump should be “given a chance.”

He said: “I complained I didn’t like Donald Trump and he said ‘give Donald Trump a chance’. I sort of disagree with that but I still like Harry. That was his politics, I have mine.”

His comments goes against royal policy, which states that they must stay politically neutral. Mr Markle went on to discuss his daughter’s wish to have children and stated that the couple will have a baby “in the making very soon.”

He said: “She’s wanted children for a long time and when she met Harry and she spoke about how much she loves him – there’s got to be a child in the making somewhere soon.”

When asked how he felt about the former Suits star’s wedding, Mr Markle said: “My daughter has been a princess since the day she was born.”

He added that Harry “made a good pick.”
